Your Students Dashboard is the very first thing you'll see when you login to MajorClarity. This tab allows you to view and work with your assigned students as needed. This article will walk you through the different features of the Students tab.

 

Student Assignments

  • District Admins - you will automatically see all students in the district.
  • School Admins - you will automatically see all students in your school.
  • Advisor Admins - when first logging in, you will not see any students. You will instead be able to set up a classroom code and connect with your students individually. Once connectes, you will see all students that have connected with you via Classroom Code. (More info can be found here - Advisor: How to set up your Classroom Code).
Student Search
You can filter the students you see in your Students Dashboard via the following options:
  • Search for a particular student by Name or Student ID number.
  • Filter by Group.
  • Filter by Graduation Year.
  • Filter by School (District Admin only).

Working with your Student Dashboard

Once you have your desired view, there are various options/information available on the main page:

  • Name - Click a hyperlinked name if you'd like to see more details about that student.
  • Graduation Year
  • Assessment Progress
  • Selected Pathway (if applicable) - N/A will display if they have not selected a Pathway.
  • Email - click the Contact button to send a message to the student's connected school email address.
  • Message - Click the Message button to send a message on MajorClarity. Students will receive an alert onsite.
  • Message Guardian(s) - click the Message Guardian(s) button to send a message to the student's guardian(s). This will only be available if we have an email on file for them.

If you have guardian emails you'd like to include for your students, please get in touch with your district's main data contact. We can work with them to securely import and manage the guardian emails that display.

  • Actions - located directly above the Message Guardian(s) column. Click the 3 dots to see your options:
    • Send Message by College - this allows you to send a bulk message to all students who have Favorited (starred) a certain school during Postsecondary Exploration. You also have the option to further filter by Grade level if needed.
    • Send Message by Group - send a bulk message to all students in one of your Groups.
    • Send Guardian Message by Group - send a bulk message to all Guardians of students in a specific Group. This will only send messages to Guardians that have an email on file in MajorClarity.
    • Send Message by Pathway - send a bulk message to all students who have selected a certain Pathway.
    • Email academic reports - send students' digital ACPS in bulk to all guardians showing in your students dashboard. * Note: please be sure your students dashboard is filtered as intended. If you only want to share ACPs with guardians of students within a certain Group for example, be sure to filter by that Group first.

Student Information

Whether you're preparing to meet with a student or just want to view a student's progress in MajorClarity, click the student's name to view their details. There will be slight differences in the info/actions you can access based on your role as a staff member.
  • School
  • Current Year

  • Guardian Email (if available)
  • Advisor assignments (Advisors this student has connected with via Classroom Code)

ACP Actions

Click the 3 dots next to ACP actions to work with the student's digital academic and career plan.
  • View - view their plan as a PDF in a separate tab. This is a great option if you want to view, download, or print the student's plan.
  • Mark as reviewed - once you've viewed the plan, staff members who have been directed to formally review a student's plan can mark it as reviewed. The date will show up on the digital plan.
  • Apply signature - the student's assigned Counselor can use this feature to sign off on the student's ACP. Visit the Account tab to add your signature if you have not done so. Once the signature is applied, it will show up on the Counselor signature line on the first page of the ACP. *Please note: you are not able to sign ACPs in bulk for multiple students.
  • Send report email - this option allows you to send the ACP to the student's parent/guardian for their signature as well. This is only available for students who have a guardian email on file with MajorClarity.

*If you'd like to send ACPs to guardians for multiple students at once, please navigate back to your Students Dashboard to use the Email academic reports feature under Actions:

Email academic reports - send students' digital ACPS in bulk to all guardians showing in your students dashboard. * Note: please be sure your students dashboard is filtered as intended. If you only want to share ACPs with guardians of students within a certain Group for example, be sure to filter by that Group first.
 

Resume Actions

Click the 3 dots next to Resume actions to View submitted resumes and cover letters for that student. The PDF document will open in a separate tab for review, download, or print.
